Installation Details
The 55-inch TV was installed on a full motion articulating bracket, anchored into two wood studs in the bedroom drywall above the dresser. Stud locations were mapped with a deep-scan stud finder and the wall plate was laser-leveled before lag bolts were torqued to spec. A new 120V recessed outlet box was cut into the drywall within the bracket's footprint and tied into the room's existing wall circuit. Mount height was set so the screen sits comfortably above the dresser at proper bedroom viewing height.
Professional Techniques Used
Two wood studs were located and confirmed, then the full motion bracket was through-bolted with grade-8 lag bolts torqued to spec — essential for an articulating mount where the extended arm multiplies anchor stress. For the new outlet, we cut a recessed box opening within the bracket footprint, fished Romex behind the drywall, and tied into the existing bedroom circuit with proper grounding and code-compliant connections.
