Project Summary
A Duluth, GA homeowner wanted their 55-inch Hisense Canvas Art TV installed above the fireplace between two custom built-ins, with full motorized pull-down for comfortable viewing from the sofa. The MantelMount MM815 motorized pull-down was selected to drop the screen down and tilt it forward at the press of a button, paired with a recessed concealment box and a new behind-TV outlet for a completely cord-free presentation.
Installation Details
The MantelMount MM815 motorized pull-down mount was lag-bolted across two drywall-backed studs above the fireplace, centered between the built-in cabinetry. The 55-inch Hisense Canvas was attached to the MM815's articulating arm, which travels down and out to bring screen center to seated eye level when in use, and stows flush above the mantel when off so the Canvas displays artwork in Art Mode. A recessed in-wall concealment box and new outlet were installed within the mount's stowed footprint.
Professional Techniques Used
The MM815 was anchored with heavy-duty lag bolts across two studs to support both the TV and the motorized arm's full travel cycle. A new electrical outlet was installed within the mount footprint behind the TV using code-compliant in-wall rated wiring, and a recessed low-voltage concealment box was cut in to hide the HDMI run and the MM815's power supply. The Hisense Canvas wood-tone bezel was leveled to sit flush against the dark accent wall in its stowed position.
