55-Inch TV Tilt Mounted on a Covered Porch Siding Wall in Atlanta, GA

An Atlanta, GA homeowner wanted a 55-inch Roku TV mounted on the lap siding wall of their covered porch so the seating area could double as an outdoor living room. Siding is not a flat surface and cannot carry the load on its own, so the mount had to be located and fastened to the framing behind the sheathing.

The 55-inch panel was mounted on the horizontal lap siding wall above the wicker seating group, positioned so both chairs and the sofa have a clean sightline. Shims were set against the lap profile so the plate sits plumb and true, then the mount was laser-leveled and cycled through its full tilt range and load-tested before handoff.
