Installation Details
The 60-inch TV was mounted on a heavy-duty full motion articulating arm anchored directly into the stacked rock fireplace face above the floating wood mantel. Screen center was set at roughly 60 inches from the floor to keep the panel proportional to the tall stone column while still extending downward and outward for comfortable seated viewing. The full motion arm provides about 16 inches of extension and swivels left/right so the homeowners can angle the TV toward the main sofa, the open kitchen, or tilt it down to defeat reflections from the adjacent window.
Professional Techniques Used
A rotary hammer drill with carbide masonry bits was used to bore clean pilot holes through the stacked rock veneer into the solid backer behind it, with anchor placement carefully chosen on flat stone faces to avoid cracking edges or grout joints.
