The dark navy painted built-in unit features the gas fireplace flanked by symmetrical open shelving and a stacked stone hearth. The install included a Samsung No-Gap mount for the Frame TV, plus an in-wall wire drop running the One Connect cable and a separate soundbar HDMI down through the fireplace structure to keep the entire wall completely wire-free.
Installation Details
The 65-inch Samsung Frame TV was mounted on the drywall recess above the wood mantel using Samsung's No-Gap Wall Mount, anchored securely into the studs behind the painted drywall panel. A soundbar was placed on the mantel directly below the TV. The Samsung One Connect cable and a dedicated soundbar HDMI cable were both routed down through the interior of the fireplace surround using low-voltage brackets behind the TV and an exit point inside the adjacent built-in cabinetry, where the One Connect Box and soundbar source were concealed.
Professional Techniques Used
Stud detection located solid framing behind the recessed drywall panel above the mantel. The No-Gap mount was laser-leveled and lag-bolted into the studs, ensuring the Frame TV sits flush against the wall for a true picture-frame look. Two low-voltage old-work brackets were installed — one behind the TV and one inside the built-in cabinetry — creating a hidden vertical pathway down through the fireplace chase. The transparent One Connect cable and the soundbar HDMI cable were both pulled through this pathway. Heat clearance from the gas firebox was verified before final mounting.
