65-Inch Tilt TV Mount on Drywall With Outlet in Sugar Hill, GA
For the second TV in the same Sugar Hill, GA home, the client wanted a 65-inch screen mounted on a smooth drywall wall with the power outlet created directly behind the display. The goal was a clean, floating look with no power cord dropping to the baseboard and no visible outlet below the TV.
The 65-inch TV was mounted on a tilt bracket centered on the drywall wall at a comfortable viewing height for the room. A recessed electrical outlet was added inside the TV footprint so the factory power cord plugs in behind the screen instead of hanging below it. The bracket was aligned to the room layout, leveled precisely, and adjusted to give the panel a slight downward angle for glare control from overhead lighting.
The wall was scanned for studs, wiring, and open cavity space before the bracket and outlet location were marked. Structural lag bolts secured the tilt mount into the framing behind the drywall, while the new behind-TV outlet was positioned so it remains accessible but fully hidden once the TV is hung. After power was verified, the TV was installed, leveled, tilted, and checked from the main viewing position.
The second Sugar Hill TV now has a clean mounted finish with power hidden behind the screen and no visible cord run. The tilt bracket helps reduce glare while keeping the TV close to the wall, and the dedicated outlet makes the setup easier to service or upgrade later without sacrificing the polished look of the room.
