65-Inch TV Mounted in Canton, GA Master Bedroom with Tilt Mount & Outlet
A Canton, GA homeowner wanted a 65-inch television cleanly mounted above the dresser on the main wall of their master bedroom. The plan paired a low-profile tilt mount with a brand-new electrical outlet placed directly behind the TV's footprint, eliminating the dangling cord that previously ran down to the PlayStation 5 and media console below.
The 65-inch Onn Roku TV was centered on the main bedroom wall, set at a comfortable seated-and-reclined viewing height for the bed across the room. A tilt bracket was selected so the screen can be angled slightly downward toward the bed, eliminating overhead glare from the nearby sconce light. A new electrical outlet was added directly behind the TV, fed from the bedroom's existing circuit so the power cord stays completely hidden behind the panel while the PS5 and modem remain plugged in cleanly on the wood console below.
Studs were mapped with a precision scanner and the tilt bracket was anchored into structural framing with heavy-duty lag bolts rated well beyond the 65-inch panel's weight. A new old-work electrical box was cut into the drywall directly behind the TV, fed with in-wall rated cable from the existing bedroom circuit for full code compliance. The HDMI line to the PS5 was routed through the wall cavity from the behind-TV box down to a low-voltage plate at console height. The bracket was leveled with a digital level and the tilt was dialed in to match the homeowner's reclined sightline from the bed.
The Canton master bedroom now has a 65-inch TV that floats cleanly on the warm neutral wall with no power cord draped down to the dresser. The hidden outlet behind the screen makes the install look fully finished, the tilt mount cuts glare from the wall-mounted sconce, and stud-anchored hardware delivers long-term security for the panel. The PS5 and modem stay neatly arranged on the console with a single discreet HDMI run through the wall.
