75-Inch TV Tilt-Mounted on Stone Fireplace in Fayetteville, GA

A Fayetteville family in the Kenwood neighborhood wanted their 75-inch LG mounted above a cultured stone fireplace in the main living room. The fireplace is the room's centerpiece, and the homeowner wanted a clean installation with no visible wires on the stone surface. The cultured stone fireplace required careful anchor point identification — unlike natural stone, cultured stone is thinner and applied over a substrate, so anchoring must reach the backing material behind it. We drilled through the cultured stone and into the concrete board backing using masonry bits at controlled speeds. The tilt mount was secured with six concrete board anchors and two wood stud connections where available. A new recessed outlet was installed above the mantel behind the TV's mounting location.

Cultured stone thickness was measured at each anchor point using a depth gauge to ensure proper anchor penetration into the backing substrate.
