Installation Details
The 85-inch TV was mounted on a heavy-duty tilt bracket anchored to the rock fireplace surround using six concrete tapcon anchors. The irregular stone surface required steel shims to create a perfectly level mounting plane. The soundbar bracket was installed 3 inches below the TV on the same stone surface. The TV center sits at 56 inches from the floor, with the tilt mechanism angling the screen 12 degrees downward for comfortable viewing from the sectional sofa.
Professional Techniques Used
A rotary hammer drill bored into the densest sections of the fieldstone, avoiding mortar joints. Each tapcon anchor was rated for 200+ pounds of pullout resistance. Steel leveling shims compensated for the rock's natural irregularities, creating a flat mounting surface. The soundbar bracket used independent anchors with matching shim treatment. Heat-rated cabling was routed along the stone edge to a concealed outlet behind the adjacent drywall section.
