Frame TV on a Full Motion Mount with Soundbar in Sandy Springs, GA
A Sandy Springs, GA homeowner wanted their Samsung Frame TV mounted on the shiplap accent wall next to their stone fireplace, on a full motion arm so the screen can swing toward the seating area or the adjoining deck doors. The soundbar needed to hang directly beneath the panel, and with a light shiplap wall and a wood-bezel Frame, nothing could be left showing.
The Frame was hung on a low-profile full motion mount so it sits close to the shiplap when it is parked flat in Art Mode, then articulates out and swivels toward the sectional or the deck doors when the family is actually watching. The mount plate was set into the framing behind the shiplap boards, and the soundbar was hung on its own bracket centered below the TV with enough drop for the panel to tilt without contacting the bar. Power was brought to a receptacle behind the screen and the One Connect and soundbar cabling was routed through the wall cavity so nothing crosses the shiplap face.
Shiplap adds a layer of finish material over the drywall, so we located the studs through the boards and used longer lag bolts to reach full stud penetration rather than relying on the shiplap itself, which carries no structural load. The wall was scanned before drilling and the fastener line was set on the shiplap boards so the holes stay hidden behind the mount plate. Cable slack was calculated for the arm's full extension and service loops were left inside the cavity so the Frame can swing to its limits without pulling on a connection. The soundbar bracket was laser-leveled to the TV's centerline, and both the panel and the bar were load-tested at full extension before the room was cleaned up.
The Sandy Springs living room now has a Frame TV that sits flat against the shiplap like framed art and pulls out on a full motion arm whenever the family wants a better angle, with the soundbar mounted cleanly underneath and no cords on the wall. The installation is backed by our 5-year workmanship warranty.
