55-Inch TV Fixed Mount on Concrete Wall in Downtown Atlanta High-Rise
Project Summary
A Downtown Atlanta resident in the Ritz-Carlton Residences needed a 55-inch Samsung Frame TV mounted in their bedroom on a poured concrete wall. The building's strict modification policy required coordination with the management team before any drilling. A fixed mount was selected to keep the Frame TV flush against the wall for its signature gallery-like appearance.
Installation Details
Working in the Ritz-Carlton Residences required advance scheduling with building management, freight elevator reservation, and floor protection covering for the hallway. The concrete bedroom wall was scanned for rebar and conduit before marking drill points. The ultra-slim fixed mount was anchored using four concrete sleeve anchors. A new electrical outlet was installed using surface-mounted conduit routed behind the bed's headboard area, keeping it invisible from all viewing angles.
Professional Techniques Used
A Hilti TE 2-A22 cordless rotary hammer was used for quiet, efficient concrete drilling — important in a luxury residential building where noise complaints must be minimized. Concrete sleeve anchors were set at the exact torque specification recommended for the building's concrete composition. The Samsung Frame TV's no-gap wall mount was used in conjunction with the fixed bracket for a truly flush installation. Surface-mounted EMT conduit was painted to match the wall color and routed behind the headboard for the new electrical outlet.
