65-Inch TV Mounted on Drywall in an Atlanta, GA Apartment Living Room

A resident in an Atlanta high-rise apartment wanted a 65-inch TV mounted on the living room drywall beside the floor-to-ceiling balcony glass. Apartment installs come with their own rules — the fewest holes possible, no cutting into the wall, and a finish the resident can hand back at move-out — so the plan kept everything on the surface of the drywall and used the outlets already at the baseboard.

The 65-inch panel was centered on the open wall section between the balcony door and the light switches, set at seated eye level for the sofa. Hole count was kept to the minimum the mount is rated for so the wall is easy to patch at move-out, and the fastener line was set behind the panel where it stays hidden. The plate was laser-leveled to the ceiling line — important next to a tall glass wall where any tilt is obvious — the mount was load-tested, and the smart TV was powered up, connected to WiFi and run through initial setup before handoff.
