65-Inch TV on a Full Motion Mount Over a Brick Fireplace in Douglasville, GA

A Douglasville, GA homeowner wanted their 65-inch TV mounted on the painted white brick fireplace that runs floor to ceiling across their living room wall. The raised brick hearth and the depth of the chimney breast meant a flat mount would have left the screen too high and locked at a bad angle, so a full-motion arm was specified to bring the picture down and out toward the seating.

The 65-inch panel was centered on the painted brick chimney breast above the firebox, framed by the crown molding that caps the brick. A full-motion articulating bracket lets the screen pull off the masonry face, tilt down toward the sofa and swivel toward the adjoining seating, which fixes the usual over-fireplace viewing-angle complaint. The plate was laser-leveled across a slightly irregular brick face with shimming where the courses ran out of plane, and the mount was cycled through its full extension, tilt and swivel range under load before handoff.
