65-Inch LG G5 Flush Mount with Concealment Box in Sandy Springs, GA

A Sandy Springs, GA homeowner wanted their new 65-inch LG G5 OLED evo to sit truly flush against the living room wall, the way the G-series gallery design is meant to look, with the soundbar mounted directly underneath it. That meant recessing a concealment box into the wall behind the panel so the power brick, HDMI leads and soundbar cable all live inside the wall cavity instead of pushing the TV off the drywall.

We cut a recessed media box into the stud bay directly behind the TV's center and set the LG G5 on a slim flush wall bracket so the panel sits nearly against the drywall with no visible standoff. Power was brought to a recessed receptacle inside the box and the low-voltage HDMI and soundbar runs were fished down through the same cavity to a second recessed plate behind the console. The soundbar was hung on its own bracket immediately below the screen, centered to the TV and spaced for IR and port clearance, with its cable dropping straight into the wall so nothing shows between the two.

The wall was scanned for wiring and plumbing before any cutting, and the box location was chosen to land clean in a stud bay behind the panel where the TV body fully covers the opening. Line voltage was terminated in a code-compliant recessed receptacle and kept separated from the low-voltage runs, which were pulled with fish tape through the bay. The mount plate was lag-bolted into located studs and laser-leveled, and the panel was dry-fit to confirm the OLED sat flat with the concealment box depth clearing the power brick. Soundbar bracket height was set off the TV's bottom edge so the gap reads even across the full width, and both the panel and the bar were load-tested before final cable dressing.

The Sandy Springs living room now has a 65-inch LG G5 sitting flat on the wall like a picture frame with the soundbar tucked cleanly beneath it — no cords, no cable raceway and no gap behind the panel.
