65-Inch TV Tilt Mounted Over a Drywall Fireplace in Marietta, GA

A Marietta, GA homeowner wanted a 65-inch TV mounted above the drywall fireplace that sits between two white built-in cabinets in their living room. The chimney breast is narrow and framed by crown molding and shelving on both sides, so centering mattered visually — and because the screen had to sit above the mantel, a tilt mount was chosen to bring the picture angle back down toward the sofa.

The 65-inch panel was centered on the drywall chimney breast directly above the white mantel shelf, aligned to the built-ins on either side so the whole wall reads symmetrical. The plate was laser-leveled to the mantel and cross-checked against the built-in shelf lines on both sides so the TV reads square to the whole wall, cables were fished down the cavity to a low-voltage opening behind the cabinet base, and the mount was load-tested through its full tilt range before cleanup.
