Installation Details
The 98-inch TV required a commercial-grade full motion bracket rated for 150+ pounds, anchored across four wall studs using 3/8-inch lag bolts. A structural assessment confirmed the wall framing could support the extended load of the articulating arm at full extension. The soundbar was mounted on a dedicated bracket centered below the TV. A new in-wall power outlet and low-voltage cable plate were installed behind the TV position.
Professional Techniques Used
Quad-stud anchoring distributed the TV's 110-pound weight plus the leverage force of the full motion arm across a wide mounting plate. Each lag bolt was torqued to 35 ft-lbs for consistent clamping force. The articulating arm's tension was adjusted so the TV holds position at any angle without drifting. CL2-rated HDMI and optical audio cables were routed through a dedicated in-wall conduit.
